SuriLee…

AKA Samhita Markande is a Composer/Producer/Singer/Songwriter/Lyricist in Pop and R&B mixed with Bollywood Genre. Suri grew up in Mumbai, India and currently lives and works out of her Home Studio in Fremont, California, USA.

Suri’s passion for music and singing started in Mumbai, where she was brought up and trained in Indian classical music. Suri came to the US in 2003 at the age of 18. She studied Accounting at the University of Baltimore, where she earned her Bachelor's (2006) and Master’s (2011) Degree. She worked in public accounting for a few years, before she pursued a career in Music.

Suri entered the music industry to merely fulfill her dreams of becoming a singer, but she made a debut as a Music Producer with her very 1st Album titled "Wild Lily"- that showcases her talents as a well-rounded musician. The album was co-produced and creatively guided by the extremely talented producer David Hughes at Shine On Studios in Oakland, CA.

These days…

Suri is currently in the process of releasing her 2nd Album, titled KAAZ, in the regional category that features songs in native Indian languages - Kannada and Hindi. She is really going back to her roots with this one. Listen to her 1st song release “HESARU” from the Album KAAZ.

Suri is also working on her 3rd Album in R&B/Pop.

Other passions…

When she is not working on Music, Suri is busy being a Mother, Yoga Teacher, Actor, Writer, and Energy Healer.

Suri is also passionate about preserving nature and making a difference in the world with Veganism.

Suri’s other interests include reading, cooking, painting, drawing, photography, DIY projects, spending quality time with her kids and her dog (Odin), meditation, hiking, biking, skating, and long walks on the beach.
